Method: Have half of the deck in left hand dealer's grip and the other half in right hand biddle grip, with a thumb break above the face card. Use the right finger tips to outjog the top card of the left hand, and at the same time turn the face of left hand half towards the audience so they can see the face of the outjogged card. At the same time, leave the card below the thumb break on the left hand packet. Use the left index to square the outjogged card. The outjogged is now second from top, but the audience believes it is the top card of the left hand packet.
Comments: The load is made easier by using the left pinkie to press the card below the break against the top of the left hand packet.
VARIATION
This variation is used as a switch. Have the two halves face up and a card face down above the back card of the right hand packet. Hold a thumb break above the face down card. That is the setup for the switch. Turn the face card of the left hand face down and repeat the load move. This will leave a face down card on the left hand packet, followed by a face up card, followed by another face down card, which was the one that was turned over. The audience will believe the card you showed is on top. In reality there are two cards on top of the showed card. The topmost card is then given while the other face down card is hidden under the loaded face up card.
