COUNT ADDITION

Effect: A packet of cards is counted onto the deck.

Method: Have the deck in left hand dealer's grip with a pinkie break under the packet to be added. Have a packet of cards in the right hand, clipped between the thumb and the fingers at the bottom end right corner. Use the left thumb to peel the top card of the right hand packet onto the deck. At the moment the packet is squared with the deck, the right middle finger is inserted in the break. The right hand moves to the right so that the cards above the break are added to the bottom of the right hand packet. The left thumb peels the rest of the cards normally in the same manner as the first time.

Comments: This sleight is usually used to add the top card of a packet to the top of the right hand packet. It can also be used as a false count to show more card in a packet. In this case, a break is obtained under the card peeled onto the deck and this card is added back. This can be repeated.
